How do you remove subtotals in microsoft money?

I have just started using Microsoft money. It is wonderful. The only thing is these subtotals keep getting larger and larger and don't look at all like reality. I have learned a lot about how to use microsoft money. How can I remove or alter these subtotals?
Whatever you tell me may be helpful to me.

I just do not know

The Microsoft Xbox 360 Console: Powerful Gaming In A Box

Gone are the days of drab, underpowered gaming consoles with limited features. The Microsoft Xbox 360 is here! It doesn’t matter if you are a serious gamer or a mere hobbyist, the Xbox 360 that Microsoft launched in November 2005 is suitable for all players. It claims to have taken into consideration all the facets of ultimate gaming experience with this much-improved version of the original Microsoft Xbox that came out in November 2001.

Check your budget. Depending on what you can afford, you may start with the very basic core system composed of the light console, the wired controller and the composite AV cable; and when your budget allows you to purchase other peripherals one by one for the enhancement of your total gaming experience, maybe you’d want to change your wired controller with the wireless model, or maybe you’d want to add in the Xbox Live headset for amplification of sound effects to a mind-boggling level far above what your normal TV speakers could provide.

On the other hand, if you are one of those to whom “money is no object,” you may just go ahead and buy the entire Microsoft Xbox 360 system, where everything is all in (i.e., the console with premium chrome finish, a wireless controller, the Xbox Live headset, component hard drive-AV cable, the Ethernet cable that allows you to connect with the other players, and the hard drive that contains an array of original Xbox games and allows you to download even more games. Since the Xbox 360 allows up to four wireless controllers operating on one console, it lets you play with three other players simultaneously for that added fun and challenge in live competition.

The Microsoft Xbox 360 gives you total digital entertainment. You may amplify and enhance your music and movies to a soothingly soft or to a ripping loud volume. Connect to the Internet and instantly stream your music, digital home movies, photographs and graphics or any other files stored in your hard disk, memory and other digital media that are Microsoft Windows XP-based PC that you want to share with others.

When attached to your TV, the Microsoft Xbox 360 takes advantage of the high-definition TV resolution in its full color and size that makes the game movie-like. Its anti-aliasing capability renders the animation flawlessly smooth and non-jerky, and the characters seem as though they are jumping out of the wide screen! When you are connected to the Internet via the Ethernet card, you have the Xbox Live headset, a facility that allows you to voice-chat with other players, thus combining active gaming with socialization.

There are games that are rated “must-have” because they are simply sensational with the Microsoft Xbox 360. These include “Dead or Alive 4,” “Call of Duty 2″ for the best WWII shooter, “King Kong” for great effects and “Need for Speed Most Wanted” for racing fans. For some odd reasons, some games that run with excellent audio and video effects using the first version of Xbox don’t run as well in the Xbox 360; these include “Madden NFL 06,” “NBA Live 06.” This must be given immediate attention by the Microsoft people because it is a source of great disappointment for hardcore gamers and, in some cases, could be a deal-breaker.

Pressure is on for movie makers and game programmers/manufacturers to properly and visibly indicate the appropriate rating of their products on the packaging to provide guidance for buyers. In this regard, it is an added attraction to parents that the Microsoft Xbox 360 has settings that allow them to control how it is used by their children. The box has Family Settings which enable parents to shield their children from unsavory or unwholesome contacts. Family Settings perform two functions on the Xbox 360 console-to allow or restrict access to offline games and/or DVD movies, and access to online contact and content via the Xbox Live environment.

ESRB is the regulating body that takes care of rating the propriety or impropriety of a game or movie based on age. ESRB’s restrictions on games are EC (early childhood) for children below 6 years old, containing no inappropriate materials at all; E (everyone) for children younger than 13, and these have minimal violence and comic mischief but are substantial for character building. Some Xbox 360 games with an E rating include Ridge Racer 6 and NBA 2K6.

The rest of the ESRB ratings are: T (teen), which may also contain minimal violence, mild-to-strong language and/or suggestive themes; M (mature 17+) containing mature sexual themes or more intense violence and language; AO (adults only, for players aged 18+), which may include more graphic sexual themes and/or violence; and RP (rating pending) for games that have not been officially released yet.

With the safeguard placed by the Family Settings of the Microsoft Xbox 360 console, the parent feels safe buying the system for their kids. So, whatever the gaming preference of the child – or the parent!—Microsoft Xbox 360 promises to satisfy them.

Tactics Against Spam Blocking

Microsoft Outloook Express is used by almost everyone all over the world. It sends multiple messages to your friends, loved ones, colleagues, and the list of your electronic mail’s recipients goes on and on. It is certainly a gift to those who need communication the most due to their jobs. But this gift is starting to be disrupted by a common annoying bug.

This annoying bug is also called “spam”. Spam is a name to shorten junk mail. Spam is the mail that you really do not want to receive. Why is that? It is because spam contains messages that you do not care about. They usually contain advertisemente regarding products that you do not even exist. Conclusively, they are useless and absolutely pointless.

Spam tends to take so much space. Therefore, it will fill your inbox space. Once your inbox has already been filled, Microsoft Outlook Express will not be as accessible as it used to be back when it was not full yet. If your job is concerned with the use of the Microsoft Outlook Express, then your job will really be affected if spam affects your email address.

You can make use of spam blocking software to be able to eradicate spam. To obtain these said software, you can surf the Internet and look for a spam blocking software that you think is appropriate for your computer system.

An example of a spam blocking software that is compatible with Microsoft Outlook Express is SpamBayes. It is a project that has its concentration on the development of a Bayesian anti-spam filter. This filter is not the same with the other filters that are known to the world. Why is that? It is because the filter of SpamBayes tests new approaches for scoring messages. Not all spam blocking software can do that. In fact, it is safe to say that SpamBayes IS the only spam blocking software that does that.

There are other spam blocking software out there that can be really helpful for you dillemma, especially if it involves blocking spam mail. If you ever want to use a spam-free Microsoft Outlook Expess ever again, then you should start looking for that compatible spam blocking software. Because if you do not, your inbox will be clammed up with all the spam mail the world have ever heard of. Do not wait for the worst scenario to take place.

Software Training: Consultancy vs. Courses

The majority of office employees use software applications from the Microsoft Office suite. Although they use such programs as Excel, Word and PowerPoint regularly it is common to find that they will have undertaken no formal training in their use. Due to the differing nature of each individual business, the way in which these applications are used may have become very company specific.

An increasing number of training companies offer consultancy services in addition to training courses based on the topics of standard course syllabus outlines. There are a number of pros and cons to these alternative approaches which need to be considered when identifying which type of Microsoft training is right for you.

Training Course Pros
Attending a training course offers an inexpensive solution to providing training. A training course provided by an authorised Microsoft training company provides a structured approach and ensures all the main elements of a particular program are adequately covered. The courses are easy to organise with fully networked, modern specification IT being provided by the training company.

Training can be undertaken on a public schedule course or on-site at your offices, with leading Microsoft training companies in the UK offering daily public schedule courses for popular programs such as Microsoft Excel. This means there is ample scope for employees to attend a training course at a time and location that is convenient for them without necessarily removing all users from the work environment at the same time.

Training Course Cons
As a training course provides a set syllabus to a number of trainees who may have vastly differing previous knowledge of the application, time may not be used efficiently with some delegates being taught techniques they are already familiar with or that do not apply to their situation.

The dates for such courses will not be as flexible as those available with consultancy, however, with many Microsoft training companies offering courses on each program as often as twice a week, finding a suitable date is unlikely to be a significant issue.

Consultancy Pros
Bringing in a consultant means that specific problem areas can be targeted without the feeling that time is being wasted going over unnecessary ground. It also allows company specific procedures to be adequately addressed and perhaps also updated and improved. This type of approach is ideal if the main requirement is to build onto an existing application e.g. spreadsheet redesign or development.

Consultancy Cons
If those employees being trained have very limited experience with the application then employing a consultant is likely to be a more expensive solution to provide the basic training than attendance at a standard training course.

Conclusions
Which of the two options provides the best solution to a company’s training needs varies depending on specific circumstances. If very standard, basic knowledge is required across the board then training courses are likely to provide the best solution. If more specific requirements or problems exist using consultancy services may be more appropriate.

In many situations it may be that a combination of the two provides the most effective solution. Employees can develop the basic skills through training courses and then use a consultancy agreement to build on these skills and deal with company specific issues and requirements.

Are your Emails Costing you Some Mortgage Business

Are Your Emails Costing You Some Mortgage Business

There is no doubt that email is one of the greatest things that the computer revolution has done for personal productivity. I’m not going to list all the reasons email is good. If you’re active in the Mortgage Business, reading this article online, or surfing the internet…you know them already.

You’re probably an avid email user. But, used improperly, email can also be a killer for your mortgage business. This article discusses how that can happen and an example of how a simple email can go bad. My purpose is not to tell you that email is evil, because it isn’t. The negative impact of email comes from the way you use it, and not the medium itself.

In the last couple of weeks I have received a hand-full of emails from mortgage people promoting chain letters. You probably have seen them yourself. The last one was a version of the following:

* * * * * * * * * * *

“Subject: PLEEEEEEASE READ!!!! It was on GOOD MORNING AMERICA

Dear Friends

Please do not take this for a junk letter. Bill Gates is sharing his fortune. If you ignore this, you will repent later. Microsoft and AOL are now the largest Internet companies and in an effort to make sure that Internet Explorer remains the most widely used program, Microsoft and AOL are running an e-mail beta test.

When you forward this e-mail to friends, Microsoft can and will track it (If you are a Microsoft Windows user) for a two week time period.

For every person that you forward this e-mail to, Microsoft will pay you $245.00 or every person that you sent it to that forwards it on, Microsoft will pay you $243.00 and for every third person that receives it, You will be paid $241.00. Within two weeks, Microsoft will contact you for your address and then send you a check.” Etc, etc, etc.

* * * * * * * * * * *

Suffice it to say…this is a hoax and versions of this email have been circulating on the internet since 1977. Over that time, only the company names and dollar amounts have changed to make it more believable.

At first glance, participating in such pie-in-the-sky whim appears perfectly harmless doesn’t it? But participation not only serves to clog up computer resources, it gives the idiots who cooked up these frauds a great big laugh at your expense.

Oh yes, it does one other thing: the people that receive this little goodie from you now have a different insight of you. Let’s face it…this basic come-on remains the same: fool gullible people into endlessly forwarding junk messages to their friends and acquaintances with phony promises of cash and/or free merchandise. Is that the impression you want to leave with your contacts?

You know by now that there’s absolutely no free lunch…big companies aren’t going to hand out fabulous vacations, tons of cash, free trendy clothes, new computers, cases of candies, or new cars just because someone with a functioning internet connection does them the favor of forwarding an e-mail.

Most of your clients, customers, friends and contacts know that too. You need to stay informed, be informed, and use your common sense. Do a Google search on “email scams” or something similar, and then bookmark sites like snopes.com and truthorfiction.com to keep you up to date.

Just as a side note, the chain letter emails I received from loan officers included two additional blunders you should avoid. First, the emails showed the names and email addresses of the loan officer’s entire contact list (I’m sure those contacts are happy to see their names and email addresses circulating the internet unabated forever…scary isn’t it?).

And second, the loan officers used their mortgage business signature at the end of the emails further reinforcing a connection between a hoax email and their mortgage business. And we sometimes wonder why we aren’t getting our fair share of mortgage business from our contact list?

In conclusion, set-up your own email guidelines and then continually review and evaluate how and when you use your email. Email is the best thing since ’sliced bread’ and when used correctly can be a huge asset and not a deterrent to your mortgage business.

Be an Expert

In order to make it in todayâ??s business world you have to become an expert in whatever it is you are selling. One of my friends, Craig S., said to me a few weeks ago â??Jeff first you are selling computer parts, then software and now movies and each time no matter what you are dealing with you know everything about that product, How do you do that?â? If you are dealing in cosmetics or bathroom accessories or whatever you must learn everything there is to know about your products, you have to become an expert. Sales is about educating people, you have to educate your customers in the products you are selling.

About 10 years ago I had bought a lot of software that Microsoft had donated to a charity. This software was older versions of Microsoft Office, MS Works, MS Windows, etc..At first nobody wanted this product they all wanted only the latest and greatest. I then called Microsoft to find out what could be done with this older software. I learned that within 90 days of the date of purchase that the End User could get a free upgrade to the latest and greatest. The only cost would be Shipping with Airborne Express which is overnight shipping I then had to educate my customersabout what I had found out. I launched a big dvefrtising campaign on TV, Radio and newspapers offering MS Office for $199, the MSRP was $799. When someone called or came in I told them this was an older version but if you take your receipt and fax it to Microsoft you will be overnighted a FREE upgrade for the cost of shipping. This was like making an extra $600. I then sold thousand of this older MS Product retail plus over

10,000 were sold wholesale.

I originally bought the MS Office, version 1.6, for only $15 each. I was selling them for $65 wholesale and $199 retail but I showed my wholesale customers where they were saving almost $400 Dealer cost from distribution was almost $500 and I showed my retail customers where waiting a day for an upgrade was saving them almost $600. MS Sen t me a nasty letter that year saying I cost them over $5 million in lost sales but the reality is I got them registered users who would buy upgrades and other products. Some of these customers would have endud up buying someone elseâ??s office suite because they didnâ??t want to spend almost $800. I turned those people into MS Customers.

If you educate them the sales will be there You know all those junk emails you get? The ones that a lot of people are calling SPAM? I save all those emails because if the ad copy got my attention then its something I can use to get the attention of my customers and also I figure they have to be buying their products from somebody so why shouldnâ??t it be me. A few years ago I tried to partner up

with somebody who at the time I thought was so much like me that weâ??d compliment each other. I could cover his weakenesses and he would cover mine. Building on each others strengths.

How come corporations like Walmart or Best Buy or Microsoft pay 88% of their income in taxes?

Microsoft's profit accounts for $16.8 billion dollars a year on average and the US government takes almost $15 billion on taxes and Microsoft goes home with 1.8 billion…

How is this possible? Why doesn't the government just tax 99% of their income so they become richer?
Is this why Microsoft is sending all their money to africa as charity?

Yes corporate taxes can be quite hefty, but they are not stupid, and are probably doing a whole lot to minimize their taxes(like charities).

But corporations are taxed after expenses… so imagine this is like you paying taxes on your remaining income AFTER spending a bundle on a new car, nice vacation, etc. So it then it doesn't seem like such a bad deal, huh?

Also government's purpose is not to maximize tax revenue. You can't tax everything, because then companies (and people) would be less productive since they get to keep less, and tax rev. may decrease. This is the 'laffer curve' theory–>look it up!
